Austin, TX – Today, American Energy Action (AEA) commenced a statewide campaign in Texas called “True Texas Power,” with the goal of educating all Texans on the benefits of renewable energy in Texas. The ads focus on renewable energy investing billions of dollars to promote Texas job creation, service veteran careers, increased manufacturing, and investment in rural communities.

Walter Brown | General Manager of Renewable Operations | San Angelo, Texas
U.S. Army veteran, husband, and father of three, Walter Brown was born and raised in Florida, but moved his family to Texas in 2019 to advance his career in the renewable energy field. With an electrical engineering degree from Florida State University and a MBA from Nova Southeastern University, Brown has spent the last 22 years working to advance renewable energy in communities throughout the southeastern United States.
“My family and I expected to stay in Texas no more than two years, but little did we know that we would love the little City of San Angelo, Texas, so much,” said Brown. “Working in Texas and learning about wind and solar energy has been eye opening for me, and it has instilled in me an appreciation for the urgent need to diversify methods of generating energy across the Texas.”
Shorty Radde | Landowner | San Angelo, Texas
A sixth-generation Texas rancher, Shorty Radde began a partnership with the renewable energy industry 12 years ago when he installed wind turbines on his land.
“Renewable energy has transformed rural communities,” said Radde. “People in Texas should support renewable energy because it is helping the smaller ranchers and farmers have more income, and it keeps us going through tough times.”
